We're a very small team in beta — expect a reply within a couple of days. For bugs, a screenshot and what you were doing beforehand helps enormously.
Signing in
I didn't get my sign-in code
KNOW signs you in with a one-time code, not a password. If your emailed code hasn't arrived:
- Check spam or promotions — the code comes from an @knowapp.app address.
- Give it a minute, then use the resend option.
- Still nothing? Try signing in with your phone number instead — it's the same account experience and it's the most reliable path during beta.
- If neither works, email support@knowapp.app with the address or number you tried and roughly when.
"Continue with Apple" or "Continue with Google" says coming soon
Correct — those aren't switched on yet. Use phone or email to get in. Social sign-in is coming.
Using KNOW
Why does it say "not enough data yet" instead of how busy a place is?
Because it's true. KNOW only claims a venue is busy when it actually has the data to back it up. We label every busyness reading — measured right now, typical for this time, or not enough data. We'd rather tell you we don't know than make up a number. Early in beta you'll see "not enough data" a lot; it improves as more people check in.
The plan isn't right for me
Tell it so, in your own words — "swap the last stop for a dive," "somewhere quieter," "keep it under $$." It edits the plan you're looking at instead of starting over. The more you refine, the better it gets at reading you.
Do I have to share my location?
No. The planner works better with it (it can judge what's actually walkable), but it's your call. Sharing your live location with friends is a separate setting and it's off by default. Your precise coordinates are never displayed to anyone — see the privacy policy.
Who can see my taste preferences?
By default, nobody but the agent that plans your night. Those fields are hidden from other users unless you turn them on individually in your profile.
Account
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. This removes your profile, photos, check-ins, presence, and plans. If you can't get into the app, email privacy@knowapp.app from the address on your account and we'll do it for you.
Can I get a copy of my data?
Yes. Email privacy@knowapp.app and we'll send it.
How do I report or block someone?
Use the report tool on their profile or content. Blocking hides you from them and them from you, both directions. Anything urgent or involving safety, email support@knowapp.app and flag it as urgent in the subject.
Beta testing
How do I install the beta?
Install Apple's free TestFlight app from the App Store, then open the invite link we emailed you. It'll install KNOW and notify you when new builds land.
What should I report?
Crashes first — always. Then anything confusing, anything that looks broken, and anything where the plan felt wrong in a way you can describe. Screenshots are gold. You can send feedback right from TestFlight (screenshot, then tap Share → TestFlight) or email support@knowapp.app.
Something's wrong with a venue's info
Tell us — wrong hours, closed permanently, wrong vibe, a special that doesn't exist. Venue data is one of the hardest parts to keep honest and reports from real nights are the best fix we have.
A reminder
KNOW suggests plans; it doesn't guarantee them. Check hours, cover, and dress code with the venue before you go. 18+ only. Drink responsibly and never drive impaired.
